How to remotely manage your Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11 client workstations? Why no client information are displayed or very slow loading on the "Windows Microsoft Network" view? |
We're using your software (IDEAL Administration or IDEAL Remote) for a long time and normaly some additional data are displayed on the right view, like "Status", "NetBios comment", "CPU", "User", etc. Since I have migrated my admin computer to Windows 10, these information are no longer displayed or very slow loading. Do you know the reason? |
This problem means that our tool cannot retrieve automatically a default server name for your Active Directory domain. If this case, follow the instructions below to configure it manually. First, expand Windows Microsoft Network in the left view type Explorer. If no domain is listed, then right click on Windows Microsoft Network, and select Configure. Manually enter the NetBIOS name of the domain (s) / Workgroups present on your network (example POINTDEV, and not pointdev.local). To do this, use the field associated with the + icon. Domains / Workgroups must be present in the list named Managed Domains. Finally, select OK to exit the configuration window. Restart the software. If after restarting, no computers appear in the domain, or if their properties do not appear or appear very slowly, continue with the checks below. Use the right click (left view) to verify your configuration on Windows Microsoft Network \ YourDomainName \ Select a domain controller. If the problem is still occurs and if your administration station is Windows 10 (or higher), verify if the SMB1/CIFS protocol is installed and enabled:
If the problem is still here, please contact our technical support at https://www.pointdev.com/en/support/index.php |
